free stuff?
Aug. 25th, 2004 03:57 pmran across three interesting sites recently: FreeFlatScreens.com, FreeiPods.com, and FreeDesktopPC.com. as is probably obvious from their names, they give stuff away. a quick Google ping shows many success stories and a Wired News article.
there are quite a few free trial offers that’ll give you the credit you need, as long as you have a credit card (or a bank account for the AOL trial) to be billed. (I said free, and I meant free. if it cost anything, I didn’t sign up—and I’ve completed offers for all three sites. well, I screwed up on the one non‑free one I tried (RealRhapsody), but that was entirely my fault and only a 99¢ error. and I found some nifty music with it.)
the iPods site has 20GB iPods, several flavors of iPod Mini, and a $250 iTunes Music Store gift certificate; the flat screen site has a 17″ LCD monitor, a 15″LCD TV (with VGA‑in), a 27″ WEGA TV, and a 24″ TV/VCR/DVD combo; and the PC site has four mid‑range PCs from Gateway, Dell, HP, and Compaq (the Dell comes with a 17″ CRT, the rest with no monitor).
*gets down on her knees* please? pretty please? *bats eyelashes*
[ETA: if you sign up, use Internet Explorer! I usually recommend the opposite, but the offer links don’t work properly with Mozilla. -_-]
[ETA: FreeiPods.com also has the option of a $250 iTunes Music Store gift certificate.]
