Gravity is just... grr!
Aug. 2nd, 2003 04:50 amwell, I was going to play RO. my mom finally gave me her credit card so I could pay for a few more months, I bust my computer's chops to get Windows up, and Gravity's iRO website is down. with a notice that it will be back two days and 9 1/2 hours ago. and there's nothing in the patch notice about it.
if they don't learn to communicate better, I'm going to punt that game just like I did T4C.
hmm. AC2 or UO?

so I finally slog my ass off to bed, and it seems like my mom's poking me like 5 minutes later telling me to get up so we can go to the mall and get shoes. takes me a couple minutes to wake up, and when I finally do I realize I'm still dressed from yesterday -- ah, so that's why my back hurts!
anyway, between my brother, mother, and myself, it takes us about 40 minutes to get out the door. then we head for the mall. first place we go, they don't have anything in my brother's size, and I only find one pair I like. it's half a size too small. okay, let's head inside.
next place, I can't find anything I like, so I start looking for my brother. he's looking at 13s, like his current pair, so I look at 12s, and find a pair he ends up buying. we move on.
next place, I breeze through and they have nothing even remotely interesting, with the exception of the few pairs of All Stars. but I really don't feel like unpadded shoes.
after a short stop at the food court for pretzels (Pretzelmaker's pizza pretzel dipped in cheddar sauce is gooood!), we end up at Vans. the first pair I see, I like the look of; very promising. I look around; find a couple more pairs I think are worth a shot; look at the other merch. finally I track down a salesguy, ask him if they have the first shoe in my size; he goes back to check. 10 minutes later he comes back, double-checks that he has the right shoe, and pulls one out for me.
5 minutes later we were back in the car, putting my new shoes on. they were absolutely perfect. light, comfortable; a little stiff, but I really don't even notice they're there unless I focus on my feet. to celebrate, I plan to stomp my brother in DDR at the arcade across the freeway, but my dad calls and he's being pretty pissy, so we rush home. (edit: these shoes, but size 9.5)
oh, and the iRO website finally came back up, so I paid for 3 months before we left. yay for gamingness!
