my dad can't find the insurance card for the car, which HE had the keeping of, so now he's throwing shit around searching his desk, slamming chairs and shit out of his way, and generally being pissed off.

that was/is dinner. ran up to Wal-Mart while we were out and my brother grabbed a USB gamepad; so far he seems pretty pleased with it. dunno how the force feedback's gonna work though.

car's not locking in gear: put it in drive and push forward on the gearshift and it slides into neutral. it's also not getting as much power as it used to, starting from zero forward motion; I have an odd feeling the two phenomena are related.
