huh. just ran across a transcription of a dream I had about six months ago.

had a dream a bit before I got up that kinda freaked me out. no real reason for it, from what happened it in, but it did anyway.

got out of bed, made my way to the kitchen (which was pretty strange, because I didn't have any trouble with my hair, and I didn't head to the bathroom to brush it back), and just stood a couple of feet inside looking around. it looked like it was late afternoon with heavy, dark clouds covering the sky. it was raining, and the landscape looked quite barren. the pool was also a muddy brown; I've seen it green, blue, clear, but never brown.

there were dishes piled high in the sink, and some plastic containers scattered around on the counter. I noticed the containers because I was dripped on on my way into the kitchen, but I couldn't find any that were empty and for some reason I didn't want to empty any of them.

so I was standing there, staring at the floor under the leak and trying to figure out what I could put under it, and my father just kind of... faded in, in the doorway to the den. he started moving toward me, slowly. didn't speak, didn't look at me, and he was moving far too smoothly and quietly. when he was a few feet away, the dream ended.

it was weird.

it's also pretty strange that I can recall details of it after this long. it was one of those days where it isn't exactly raining, but it's grey, and wet, and kinda dim, but there's enough light that you don't need to turn the lights on inside, so none of the lights were on.

and it's really freaking me out to think about it. I don't get it. I keep expecting something to happen, which is the feeling I had after I had it, which is why I didn't post it. unpleasant. tickling at the base of my skull saying "this is a Bad Idea!" kinda like something's breathing down my neck.

now I'm afraid to go to sleep and every little thing is making me jump. >_<
