Mar. 12th, 2004 02:03 amwonderful. just friggin' wonderful.
RAM showed up at about 9 pm, and the UPS woman didn't seem all that happy. not surprising, I think... anyway, I bitched at my brother until he shut his computer down, spent the next hour and a half swapping his parts into my old case, cleaned his old case, put my computer together...
and it wouldn't turn on. after another half hour, I had the power supplies swapped and now it turns on. sort of. power goes on, fans go on, get that clicking noise that something in there produces when you power a computer up, and that's it. I have the unpleasant feeling that this will require a new CPU, which I no longer have the money for.
on the other hand, I do have a spare motherboard, video card, sound card... wonder if I could get anything for them on eBay?
