Jan. 7th, 2004 08:37 ammy brother and I were at Scandia the other day, where I had my first encounter with doubles. actually I was planning to try doubles, but after the guy who just blazied through Candy on heavy, I chickened out. which is just as well, since I discovered several hours later at the bowling alley that doubles reduce me to actually looking at where my feet are. and since I've never done that, not even the first time I played, I have some problems adjusting. ^_^;;
XFree86 and the Linux 2.6.0 headers just don't work very well together. the XFree86 devs don't appear to understand that #define rate period causes problems when several of the functions following have arguments and variables named rate and there isn't actually a period variable anywhere to be seen, except as members of a struct, which is what the definition was supposed to fix in the first place. hopefully the latest dev. ebuild will compile; otherwise I'm going to have to figure out how to fix it or move back to 2.4.x. >_<
this is really a pain, because I still have 400 packages left after this to re-emerge before I can upgrade. ¬_¬
