hyurimy computer is some serious kinda fucked up.
my dad killed it yesterday to install a new router (why the hell he did that, I'll probably never know) while I was asleep. an hour or so later I woke up and tried to boot it (SOP when it ain't on); it wouldn't turn on. this was only the beginning of my problems. figuring it was the power supply again (yes, again), I pulled a new one out of my dad's W(E)IP to replace it. this worked, to a point: namely it would boot, but Windows froze right around the time it started drawing graphics. bad sign.
so I'm sitting here at my mom's computer listening to 30 Seconds From Mars (End of the Beginning, awesome song) over the network from my new hard drive which is being shared with Samba from my computer which is currently running Linux (Windows won't work, but Linux will.... are my OSs running a covert guerrilla war inside the box?). oddly enough, it's coming through a damned sight faster than it does when Windows is sharing it...
next up on The List: convincing my dad to get me a new 400+ watt power supply to run everything I have in there now properly.

erm, I feel kinda stupid now. maybe I should unplug a hard drive, as that's the only change I've made lately (other than that power supply thing)...
