I have IE7 and Firefox 2.0. all I need is Gaim 2.0.0 and Seamonkey 1.1 and I’ll be set. also, ClearType does actually improve things. who knew?


I find myself with an unhealthy desire to snag a PSO:BB account. unhealthy because the only reason that I can still play WoW is because my brother never remembered to take my account off his card and right now he isn’t getting his statements. >_>

Bear in mind that Firefox 2.0 was released prior to Mozilla's intent and is actually the Britain-localized version, not the American one. You may want to replace it with the proper version tomorrow when the official release happens.

Um, I wouldn’t be so sure of that, seeing as I poked around myself and downloaded this file (http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%202.0.exe), not this one (http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0/win32/en-GB/Firefox%20Setup%202.0.exe). If they’re putting UK‐localized builds in the en-US directory, someone isn’t paying nearly enough attention. (Note: I got my info from Ars Technica (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20061023-8049.html) which lacks a direct link to a setup file and, at the time I accessed it, lacked a link to ftp.mozilla.org entirely.)

Anyway, even if it does turn out to be a nightly or some such, I’m not particularly concerned. I did, after, spend well over a year running nightly builds of the suite. I’ve actually lost more data from final releases than from test builds.
