pet peeve: people writing about military (or pseudo-military) stuff with alpha-numeric designations, using "beta" instead of "bravo."
I dunno, it just bugs me. kinda like seeing "K-Bar," or something similar for, say, a Ka-Bar Fighting/Utility Knife. or misusing Zulu and Lima time. but especially the phonetic alphabet bit.
